WHAT WILL YOU GIVE ME? (Matt. 26:14-16; 2Kings 5:21-27)

What you want in life actually put you into trouble. Your desires, if they are not properly targeted, will land you in trouble. Every connection in life today if not inspired or tacked-up by God, will land you in trouble. Listen! Your desires can be good; and they as well lead you into trouble. The devil knows your desire: and because he knows this, he is ready to spend whatever resources, to bring you desires. Since he knows he can’t get you any other way, he makes sure your desires are always around you.

For instance, if the devil knows you like men or women a lot, he will provide men and women around you. Whatever it is, the devil will set you up with your desire. That is why it is very necessary that you must control your desires. Every man is carried away by his thought.

In Mathew’s gospel – the account of the Alabaster box; it is said that Judas Iscariot was indignant. He simply said it was a waste of resources-what the woman did, he said it should have been sold and given to the poor. The bible made us understand he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief. In the ease of Judas, he desire was MONEY! As people vary in looks and other things, so also do they vary in their desires. What has got people into a lot of trouble; that they spend much, and go through a lot to come out of; is nothing more than their desires.

In II Kings 25:21-27  This is the account of Elisha’s servant-Gehazi. He ran after Naaman, to collect the gift his master rejected. Beware! For it is not every gift you should receive. He never knew that the gift was associated with leprosy. There are some problems that are associated with gifts. This is why you should learn to control your desires, otherwise, you would land into the same problem which the giver of the gift had always been. So many gifts could be fine and shinning, but they could be coated “Leprosy”

Wisdom demands that there are some things you would have to let go off, in life the best way to fulfill your ministry or your given life’s assignment, is by letting go of some things, so that God can come in. this has to be done willingly. Gehazi was at the verge of making a good and meaningful decision of his life. We know the story Elisha. The bible tells us that he served faithfully. And when it came time for a double portion of his master’s anointing, he had to let go of so many things like self esteem, because he was already an anointed man of . he also followed his master to the different places they went, until he got what he desired. I pray God will set your desires right. Amen.

However, Gehazi was not ready to follow after the same manner; he was after something. Don’t allow your desires to control you! II Kings 5:22 made us to understand that his desire became his master. Once your desire becomes your master, your safety is no longer guaranteed. It’s amazing how often we say and do a lot of things, just because of our desires. He prepared in his mind-what to say-just to get his desires (vs 22, 23 & 23)

Coming to church does not kill your desires. Your desires will put you into trouble, if you don’t watch it. (vs 27). Being as leader or a Pastor will not kill your desires. Rather, your heart will help you control it. Ladies and gentlemen there are better things in life that God wants to give to you, if you can only control your desires.

There are different things that generate desires in us.

One. idea of acquiring more. You want to acquire more. You want to be in charge. Wherever you enter, you want the people there to bow for you, or pay homage. Are you God?! Why should you desire such worship?

Secondly, it is the idea of being a star. We want to be esteemed high, or recognized – every where we go.

Thirdly, it’s the mind to always be above. As regards this, some misinterpret or misunderstand the scripture that says “you will be the head and not the tail, you will be above only, and not beneath” (paraphrased) should that make you betray your brother or sister or friend? Should that make you do the things that ought not to be done – For Christ sake, We have lost the ethics and values for our grace. This makes me marvel at the things that happen in church, yet doesn’t happen in the outside world.

Because of this, we don’t really help ourselves like we should within the church. Why? Because you don’t know who is real or who is pretending. It seems hard because it’s as if we are all the same. This is mostly because we have let go of our values and self esteem; and we are now like commoners. If we can’t take care of ourselves, how can we care for the world? If we don’t love ourselves, how can we show the world love?

Finally, my brethren, control your desires, and let brotherly love continue!

Your Desire (TEXT:Psalm 27:1-6)

I have come to understand that as there are differences in the looks of people, so also are their desires. Some desire love, some care, some promotion, some upliftment and financial gain.

While, some desire one thing or the other, others desire all – put together. In Esther 4: 16, you will discover that though Esther was a queen in Babylon, she had desires. Her desire was to be sure of the safety of the children of Israel – in Babylon. She neither desired baby(s), wealth, nor any other thing she could have gotten with ease. WHY? Because, she was concerned about the death sentence that had been approved and signed by king Ahasuerus which was hanging over their heads.

Now, understand that one’s desire propels him or her to do more than is expected of the person. Your desires are like a set of goals that make you move in the right direction; giving you focus. Sometimes, a burning desire can cause you to put your life on the line, this was what happened in the case of Queen Esther (Esther 4:16). Because of Esther’s desires – a minor strength in her; to put her life on the line for her people (which is a good course), God granted her desires.
Some of us are still where we are today because we didn’t follow through with our good desires, perhaps we don’t know what to do to get the king’s attention. When you have a burning desire in you, you find yourself doing something extraordinary to get the king’s attention. I know so many of you have some good desire, so I prophesy to you this month, may the king grant you your desire. Psalm 21 tells us that if our heart desires are properly followed, God (the king) will grant our heart desires. I pray that you will think of the right thing, say the right thing, and act rightly. As you do so, God will grant your desires. Amen.

Take a look at Mk 10:46-51. This is the popular story of blind Barthimaeus. This man had the desire to see. Your sight has a lot to do with your life. He no longer enjoyed people’s pity – he got tired of pity-party, he would rather have his sight restored. Sometimes, some of us love it when we are pitied.
Some like it when the Pastors or Church Leaders come to them with words like, “We understand what you are going through”, this makes them feel happy. Some who don’t get these pitiful words feel they are not loved. We must understand that Life is not all about pity! As a child of God don’t sit down to be pitied. You are not created to be pitied. You are wired to be in-charge. Blind Barthimaeus understood this; he had such mindset, so he went all out to get the master’s attention. Though people tried hard to shut him up, he cried out the more saying, “son of David, have mercy on me”. Despite the fact that there will be people who would try to shut you up, don’t relent, don’t throw in the towel, you should rather call out to get the master’s attention.

In Conclusion, I want you to know that it is your burning desire that will cause your enemies to be the carrier of your result.
The question therefore is, What is our desire?

SWIMMING IN GOD’S ABUNDANCE. Job 36:11

In life, issues are likened to rivers or oceans. So many are wallowing or swimming in different rivers. It may be of pains, poverty, sickness, attack, death and so on. But there is yet another river that is not known to all, and I want to quickly introduce you to the river of God’s abundance.

This is the river of plenty, the river of too much, the river of more than enough. it is a river meant for the “whosoevers” meant for men and women who desire whatever in life are given the so right to enter and drink of the abundance of this river. It is a river that no man is there to collect frees from anybody, no matter your condition, status, size, shape, sex. Black or white all are admitted free to the river of abundance.

This is the inexhuastable river, a river that never runs dry, praise God, the owner of this river. Amen.
Friends, you are invited to this river that never run dry.

There are condition attached to swimming in this abundance; you must surrender your life entirely to Him. It doesn’t matter the kind of accept this condition and step into the river of God’s abundance, suddenly there shall be a change. In Acts chapter two when the spirit of God came upon the disciples, the Bible says suddenly, over three thousand men joined the few in the upper room.
Amazement caught the people because of the sudden turn of event. When you accept this condition and begin the swimming, heaven announces your breakthrough.
Jabez was a nobody but in this obscurity, he prayed (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). Through prayer; a step to swimming in God’s abundance, his fortune was changed for better. Irrespective of your present situation keep praying. Jabez prayed and suddenly he began to swim in that river of abundance. I know many desire abundance in all ramifications of their lives. But they have not taken a step towards actualizing it. They keep crying like man by the pool with infirmity, ‘I have nobody.’ Listen to me, you don’t require any human connections, just begin to pray.
The river of God’s abundance makes you honorable and distinguished.’ Jabez became more honorable than his brethren.’ Jabez was not recognized. His name was never mentioned anywhere. Just as is many cases today. But when God comes into the show after his prayer, the rhythm of life for Jabez changed.
I prophecy that God may announce you as you’ve sincerely prayed. God will make you honorable among your peers and kindred. Swimming in God’s abundance means remaining and be sustained in the abundant blessing of God. You will need to fulfill certain conditions in order to achieve this;

(i) Be Obedient: God can’t cast his wealth on swine. It is true that God values principles than prayers. No matter how much you pray, if God’s principle are violated, you can’t enjoy the answers to your prayers. God expects you to obey him as God. Obey your parents. Obey the leaders in Church and obey the governmental authorities .
Obedience means more than keeping the rules of the Church. If you drive your car perhaps without the driver’s license, you are a disobedience to God as you live in total obedience to God and these authorities God unleashes His abundance blessings on you. Job 36:11.
(ii) Faithfulness: people who are living a sub-standard life today have a sub-standard faithfulness. They are unfaithful in the home, in the offices and in the church. God leaves wealth with His faithful children. Be faithful in your words. Be faithful in your deeds. Be faithful in everything and watch how your life will change. Being faithful in your tithing expands your income. Malachi 3:10 But unfaithfulness angers God. Psalms 15:4b.
(iii) Not harboring unforgiveness: Mark 11:24-26. unforgiveness is a cankerworm that devours our blessings. It makes God to reject even our offerings, hence depriving us of our blessing. Keeping malice does you no good; instead it keeps your mind perpetually in prison.
(iv) Separation from the world: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Most Christians today are worldlier than being Godly. They play games on God by dancing with one leg in church and another in the world. By so doing our blessings are tied down because you are still tied to the world
(v) Walking in faith: to receive from God, you must first of all believe in Him.
Believing in God is absence of doubt. Abraham walked with God in faith and so did a lot Biblical characters as summarized in Hebrews 11; also know that without faith you can’t please God. Then how possible do you think to receive from the one you can not please. Do all to please God and your abundant blessing shall be sustained.
Have faith; calling those things that are not as though they are. God never breaks his Promise, he watches to see them come to pass.

Heed these today and God will cause you to swim in this abundance all through your life.

God bless you

I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED II TIM 1:12

Making Lives Golden Through Grace

I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED II TIM 1:12

It is distinctively different to say and to believe. So many people do say a thing but not really believing in the things they are actually saying. It is also not uncommon today to hear people talk about Jesus but not really believing in Him. Apostle Paul said here ‘I know whom I have believed. The knowledge about something or personality gives you the grounds to fully believe in it /him knowledge is great knowledge is powerful. Little wonder the wisest man put it this way in proverbs 4 : 7 ”wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding.” It is very essential in destiny fulfillment, In order to get to where God has designed for you to be in life, you require knowledge. Every child of God should be rightly informed because information begets knowledge. When you are not well informed, you could be deformed and it is impossible to be knowledgeable. It is true that you need knowledge to build your home. You need knowledge to succeed in every facet of your life. Knowing whom you believe makes life possible in the dark end of life. It will please you to know that life has seasons. There is a called light. And another called darkness. If you have ever experienced darkness in your life, you can also be sure that light will come. The Bible says in Genesis chapter one, for evening and the morning were the first day. Every first day is known by the passing away of the night hours. It is only when your night hours have passed that you can taste and experience a day. I want to declare to everyone who have been passing through their night hours that our day has come. It doesn’t mean that after a day, another night may not come. The good news is that there shall come the second day. The Bible says it took God six days before lie rested. You may have journeyed in life for only a day. Some may have completed three days but as you round up your six days, you will definitely be entitled to a rest. This is absence of struggle in life. The confidence of knowing whom you have believed makes you to stay afloat in the ocean of life. Despite the thick and thin of life, you remain hopeful. In hardship, in pains, you know whom you have believed. Paul knew this truth when it was working out for him and x hen it was also dry. When you have this same knowledge, the devil will not put you to shame. Do you know that knowledge saves your face from shame. “For which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” 2 Tim 1-2 Do not allow the devil make you believe God can’t for you. Even if he offers you the idea, don’t buy it. Even when you are in terrible pains, maintain your faith. Know the God you serve. Do not be mindful in answering the devil anything because he will make you disbelieve God. Jesus had all the powers to turn the stone into bread in matt.4. But if he had done that, he would have simply obeyed the devil. Whoever or whatever you obey is automatically your master; sickness, food, poverty has enslaved so many thereby becoming their boss and master. Knowing whom you have believed should be unseasonal
Conditional. A lot of church goers today feign believing God when all is well but when a change of weather shows forth they stop believing. Other stay with God well at bad times doing a lot of preying and fasting but when the farm is green, they cease to be God’s own. Friends do give advice of seeking security elsewhere in order to keep life, wealth and health. Listen, if God can’t keep it for you, he wouldn’t give it you. Stop fooling yourself. In psalm 115:2-9 the Bible makes it clear that these are man-made gods with eyes but cant see, ears but can’t hear-they that make them are like unto them. Everyday my faith is enlivened because I know him. I am encourage by what he did, what he is doing and what he will do. I know he can’t promise and fail. When doors seems closed, I know he will open it. It is all about believing. Let the world’s economy irielts as it would want. Let the world power go begging, God is still God. I know for surety that he will put me above all others. Only those that do not know him get panic at every break of flu: bird, lassa or swine flu. God can and he’s able to keep his people. Finally beloved, Paul is confidence’ grew as he spoke and addressed the people at the wake of the storm as he sailed for Rome. (Act 27:20) They thought of perishing but Paul knew who God is. The best thing a Christian needs is that knowledge of who his God really is. He can not fail and you who are His, will not fail. He loves and cares for you.
